Back in the 1990s, Peter Amor had an idea: give Wye Valley Brewery a face that beer lovers would never forget. Enter Dorothy Goodbody - the fictional hop grower’s daughter who quickly became a star in the brewery’s line up.

Depicted as a vintage pin-up girl, gracing pump clips, bottle labels and merchandise, Dorothy is a significant part of Wye Valley Brewery's heritage.

Though she’s been enjoying a well-earned semi-retirement since 2016, Dorothy hasn’t hung up her heels completely. She's still the face of our modern classic, Dorothy Goodbody’s Glorious IPA. And if you keep an eye on our calendar of cask specials, you might just spot her making an occasional glamorous comeback.
