Dorothy Goodbody’s Imperial Stout
Dorothy Goodbody's Imperial Stout has been brewed in celebration of Wye Valley Brewery's 25 years of producing quality beers. For this limited edition brew, Dorothy has selected her favourite Herefordshire hops from Pennington's in Madley, and Herefordshire Maris Otter pale malt grown especially for Wye Valley Brewery by Chris Davies of Upper Derndale Farm in Canon Pyon.
Crafted by our head brewer, Jimmy Swan, the stout's flavours include sweet vanilla and toffee giving way to a delicate, lingering hoppy character. The result is a warming, rich, full-bodied stout that will improve with age.
Being bottle conditioned it forms a natural sediment, so pour carefully, sit back, and enjoy this sensational limited edition stout. 7.0% ABV.
We've only produced 6,000 bottles, so order yours now!

Dorothy Goodbody’s Golden Ale
Nothing gives Dorothy more pleasure than the succulent aroma of the two finest English hop varieties, Goldings and Fuggles. She selected these and Maris Otter pale malt for her Golden Ale as they're naturally a winning combination.

Dorothy Goodbody’s Country Ale
The golden fields of barley ripening in the sunshine; the hops climbing high up the bines in late summer... It was sights like these that inspired Dorothy to create her Country Ale. Made with all-natural ingredients, it's a must for all who savour the summer, care about the countryside and consider themselves discerning drinkers.
This strong, full-bodied ruby ale can be enjoyed on its own or as a partner to red meat dishes, cheeses and even rich steamed puddings. It's brewed using malted barley, malted wheat, flaked barley, roast barley, Crystal and Amber malts, and Fuggles and Bramling Cross hops.
This delicious ale scooped Gold in the bottled beer category of the 2011 International Beer Challenge. It was also Gold Bottled Beer Winner in the SIBA West and Wales Beer Competition 2010 (no mean feat as the Scompetition is peer-judged by other brewers!). 6.0% ABV.

Dorothy Goodbody’s Wholesome Stout
Thumbing through her grandfather's books one day, Dorothy came upon a wonderful stout recipe. Together with her friend Jimmy, the head brewer at Wye Valley Brewery, she created a stout with intense roasted barley flavours and a dry, bitter finish. A dark, full-bodied number with roasted coffee notes and plenty of hop flavour, Dorothy's Wholesome Stout is superb served with stews, grilled meats and cheeses.
Dorothy is used to turning a few heads, but even she was surprised at the attention her Wholesome Stout has received. It's only the second beer to gain top beer writer Roger Protz's full five star rating, and it also became CAMRA Champion Bottle-Conditioned Beer of Britain 2008. 4.6% ABV.
