The Pelican Inn is a no-nonsense real-ale pub located between Gloucester Cathedral and Kingsholm Rugby stadium.
The pub's history can be traced back to 1679, and is one of Gloucester's oldest pubs. Now run by Mike Hall (a regular in the Good Beer Guide) The Pelican is the winner of CAMRA's Gloucester City Pub of the Year 2014.
The Pelican serves Wye Valley Brewery's full portfolio of beers together with guest ales from other local breweries. This means that at least six real ales and four real ciders and perries are always available. For even more variety, be sure to look out for the beer festivals hosted by the pub in February and June.
