The Barrels,
Hereford
The Barrels is Wye Valley Brewery's flagship pub, and was the brewery's home for many years.
A down-to-earth drinking establishment – and 18th Century coaching inn – it's one of the last multi-roomed pubs in town. It attracts an eclectic clientele who come for the lively, friendly atmosphere and, of course, the excellent beer.
The Barrels has a large, partially covered, walled and flagstoned yard, which is the occasional home of a heated marquee. Every August, The Barrels hosts a major beer festival in aid of local charities. This popular event includes a wide range of beers plus an array of live entertainment.
A real winner of a pub
The Barrels is Cask Marque accredited and was Herefordshire CAMRA’s Pub of the Year in 1992, 1996, 2003, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2012, and runner up in 2011.
