Here at Wye Valley Brewery we are dedicated to brewing the best cask conditioned beer possible. We use only the finest quality raw materials, sourced locally wherever possible.
Wye Valley Brewery is a family run business founded in 1985 by ex-Guinness brewer Peter Amor. Brewing began in Canon Pyon, Herefordshire but then moved shortly afterwards in 1986 to the old stable block of the Barrels (a historic 18th century coaching inn) in Hereford.
By April 2002 the brewery had outgrown its Hereford home and relocated again to its present site at Stoke Lacy where it is now recognised as the leading cask ale brewery in the county.
The same year saw Vernon Amor, Peter’s son, take over as Managing Director after having completed his brewing training at Young’s Brewery in Wandsworth. Peter is now Chairman of Wye Valley Brewery, licensee of the Barrels and also Chairman of SIBA, the Society of Independent Brewers.
Wye Valley Brewery has grown every year since it was established and continues to do so. We are proud of our modern production facilities and beautiful rural location but our greatest asset is the team of dedicated, capable people who work here.
